Joe San Antonio showcases her versatility as a fashion designer with her Couture Collection 2023. 

 

Letting her intuition take the lead, the fashion designer stepped away from her bridal creations and got out of her comfort zone. 

 

With the chameleon as her inspiration, Joe did away with boundaries and went with the flow of her feelings and imagination. 

 

“Some pieces still have the usual elements of my designs, but for this collection I tried to be more adventurous.”

 

The result is a seven-piece collection that is at times edgy, other times girly or sexy. But true to the brand, there are still classic and romantic gowns in the collection. All of them contain the Joe San Antonio signature touch of elegance and sophistication.

 

The couture pieces contain different textures and fabric manipulations, as well as playful embellishments. These materials are paired with Joe’s silhouettes that highlight the feminine shape. 

 

There is the black number with a bell-shaped skirt, filled with vertical silver appliques.

 

A chartreuse mermaid-shaped gown is a head turner, made with soft french tulle. 

 

Then there is the icy blue fully-beaded column gown, featuring an electric pleated accoutrement that is a sure conversation-starter. 

 

Meanwhile, a nude french lace and chiffon ruffled long gown conveys a soft and sultry vibe. 

 

Another showstopper is the pink ball gown, with silver and fabric appliques upping the ante. 

 

 

The Joe San Antonio Couture Collection 2023 features Filipina actress Bianca Umali, whose acting versatility has allowed her to portray a variety of roles throughout her career. This makes her the perfect muse for Joe’s latest designs.
